introductionTrumpeter has been releasing several new soviet cold war MBT kits. Most come with individual tracks in the kit so this set of workable T-72 tracks will complement the new kits nicely.
contentsThe tracks come in a nice sturdy cardboard container holding the track links in two separate plastic bags, with simple instructions on the back. These state that the two bags of tracks are the same part number and that one side (right or left) will take 94 links. The tracks are held together by two small round bumps on both inside edges of each track link. In order to assemble them, simply cut the track links from the small sprues, trim the excess, and snap together. Then just paint and weather! I assembled a short section and noted that the links held together quite well. It would not be easy to pull the links apart and the tracks move very well with one another.
These tracks are very well detailed and assembly is super easy with little clean up and almost no flash to remove. There are no ejector pin marks either.
As I have not painted these tracks I cannot say how they will behave once painted. After saying that, I could not note any foreseeable problems with these tracks except that they are made by trumpeter and may not fit other kits.
conclusionI believe these track are welcome addition to Trumpeterís line of new soviet MBTs. They are not as expensive as other alternatives but are not the cheapest set either. Overall I believe these tracks are well worth the cost.
